What's new
What changed in each release. HyperMonitor checks for updates automatically and asks before installing.
- v0.7.3October 7, 2026
Security and privacy hardening
- Process names, paths and labels sent to Ask are treated as untrusted data, so text planted in them can’t steer the answer.
- Administrator mode checks the app bundle hasn’t been modified before running as root, and won’t run the Claude or Codex CLI as root.
- Moving a launch item to the Trash refuses existing files and symlinks.
- Consent for Ask is per vendor: agreeing to Anthropic is not agreeing to OpenAI.
- Chat history is now kept for 90 days by default.
- License keys from another store or product are rejected.
- Setting the system clock back no longer extends the trial.
- Fixed a hang when a CLI wrote a lot of error output.
- v0.1.0
Initial release
- Live process list with CPU, memory and grouping by app, built on libproc and ps.
- Ports view: every listening socket you can see (all of them after a relaunch with root access), its owning process, and whether it is local or open to the network.
- Triage: findings for unsigned listeners, replaced executables and ad-hoc signatures, ranked by severity.
- Launch agents and daemons, with jobs written in the last 14 days flagged.
- Ask and Explain, answered on-device by Apple Intelligence on macOS 26, or by the Claude or Codex CLI already on your Mac, which send the request to Anthropic or OpenAI only with your consent.
- Inspector with code signature, open sockets, launch origin and details for each process.
- Menu bar item with live stats.
- Automatic update checks.
